The Salesian Retreat House

The retreat house at Mary Help of Christians Center is a Roman Catholic ministry of the Salesians of Don Bosco.  The center provides meeting spaces and overnight accommodations for young people and adults in a spiritual atmosphere. Our serene country setting is not far from downtown Tampa. We welcome other faith traditions as well as non-profit, community organizations and others seeking fellowship, renewal and personal growth.

The Salesians of Don Bosco

Salesians have been directing spiritual retreats for youth the world over for more than 150 years. Our methods are those of St. John Bosco, the patron of the young. During a Salesian directed retreat, young people can learn about Don Bosco's simple means to become holy, based on the teachings of St. Francis de Sales:

1. I will be cheerful.
2. I will do my duties well.
3. I will stay close to Jesus in the Eucharist.
4. I will honor and love Mary as my Mother and Helper.
5. I choose to be kind.
6. I want to serve rather than be served.
